In this YouTube video we restored this travertine entrance hall floor back to its former glory. First job was to remove the white grout in the newly laid area around the spiral staircase that had been recently installed. We then striped the existing sealer using specialist weighted rotary machinery and aggressive brushes -- this process also removed all the dirt and grim from the tiles and grout lines. The tiles were then rinsed using our pressurised enclosed cleaning system and then dried. Using grinders we remove 5-6mm of the existing cracked/stained grout and re-grouted the full floor with a limestone grout. The next step was to seal the tiles -- we applied five coats of natural stone sealer that gave a great looking finish, protection and ease of maintenance.
